2009 CHAMPIONSHIPS:
A-Oklahoma Blastoff, January 9, 2009. Gold Star's Cocopah Gold won a blue ribbon in grey female yearling halter showing, and the Grey Color Championship over all other females, under judge Kevin O'Leary.
TxOLAN Spectacular, February 13, 2009. Gold Star Cherokee Heritage I won the blue ribbon in fawn female yearling halter showing, and was declared Reserve Color Champion by judge Sara Jane Maclennan.
TxOLAN Spectacular, February 14, 2009. Once again, Gold Star's Cocopah Gold won the blue ribbon in the grey female yearling halter competition and, once again was declared Color Champion by judge Sara Jane Maclennan.
GREAT WESTERN ALPACA SHOW, May 2, 2009. 2 x gray color champion, Gold Star's Cocopah Gold, the unique, only gray offspring of the late, 4Peruvian Altiplano Gold's 102 registered alpacas, won the blue ribbon in her halter class and was declared Reserve Color Champion of the 38 entrants.
